In partnership with Margaret Mary Health and Stayin’ Alive LCC, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department will be hosting a prescription medicine take back event on Tuesday, September 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Citizens can drop off their unwanted, unused, or expired medications with F.C.S.D. at the Brookville United Methodist Church at 150 East 8th Street in Brookville. Simply drive through and drop the medicine in the collection box without ever leaving your vehicle. If you are unable to participate due to being ill, there are several permanent drop off sites, including the Franklin County Security Center, once you are no longer under the weather.
