Moneca has been putting together a book based on the principles of HomEcology and the idea of S.P.A.C.E. (Sun, Place, Adaptability, Cultivation and Ease) The book is in skeleton form however were excited to share the ideas behind the books thesis. The thesis of this book is that happiness happens when we align our lives with our values. “From the moment of birth every human being wants happiness and does not want suffering….Therefore, it is important to discover what will bring about the greatest degree of happiness.” ~ Dalai Lama

To illustrate the interconnectedness of the themes and concepts and model how to let go of linear thinking and embrace a more holistic organic discovery. It allows for another way of taking in the information rather than just the intellect processing we are feeling the colors and listening to their story and respecting it.
And because it’s a little bit delightful and I haven’t seen it done before so it becomes an intriguing design exercise as well as opportunity to add new values
Why is this story so Colorful?
To illustrate the interconnectedness of the themes and concepts and model how to let go of linear thinking and embrace a more holistic organic discovery. It allows for another way of taking in the information rather than just the intellect processing we are feeling the colors and listening to their story and respecting it.
And because it’s a little bit delightful and I haven’t seen it done before so it becomes an intriguing design exercise as well as opportunity to add new values

Cultural need for rites of passage – we’ve forgotten how to become adults so are stuck in an adolescent culture.
This could make a case for multi- generational living because one goal of the home should be to cultivate elder-hood.
