SERVICES & FEES
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department offers these services;
- Local background checks
- must provide valid ID
- cost $5 cash or money order only
- Notice to Quit
- form provided in office, you must have the name and address of the subject/s to be removed
- cost $40 cash or money order
- (Civil Process Service is made through the Franklin County Clerk’s Office)
- Tax warrants
- if you receive a notice of a Tax Warrant, you can set up payment at The Franklin County Security Center.
- Copies of Records
- Ten Cents ($.10) per page for standard paper copies of records.
- Incident photographs
- One Dollar and Fifty Cents ($1.50) per incident photograph requested.
- Compact Discs and Electronic Storage Media
- Five Dollars ($5.00) per compact disc (CD) and Ten Dollars ($10.00) per USB storage device provided for records, photographs, videos, or other electronically stored information.
- Postage and delivery Costs
- A fee equal to the actual cost of postage, shipping, packaging, or delivery associated with fulfilling records requests.
- Payment of Fees
- All fees must be paid by the requesting party PRIOR to the release of the documents
- Fees may be paid via exact cash, money order, or certified check. Please make check payable to “Franklin County Sheriff”.
- Law Enforcement Recordings
- A fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100) PER law enforcement recording provided, including body worn camera footage and dash camera footage.
- In addition to the per-recording fee set forth above, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department may charge the actual cost of any storage media, postage, shipping, or delivery associated with fulfilling the request, provided that the cost does not exceed One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) per individual law enforcement recording.
